About the Mindfulnetwork
The Mindfulnetwork is created by Oona Fraser, M.A., R.P., a Registered Psychotherapist with over 20 years experience as an educator, over 14 years as a psychotherapist and 10 years as a clinical supervisor. Oona specializes in experiential, contemplative, somatic, existential, feminist, mindfulness and acceptance based therapies.
The network is envisioned as a way to connect supervisees and colleagues with one another, and welcomes therapy professionals with common interests and perspectives to participate in a peer supervision network for creative and embodied therapists.
Therapy that goes to a deep place requires the ongoing practice of nurturing our own presence, aliveness and creativity. NONE OF US CAN MAINTAIN THIS WORK IN ISOLATION. We are better, stronger and more resilient in our work through connections with one another. This is a space to share support, resources, training, wisdom, referrals, strength and professional joy. We can create genuine professional relationships through participating in community seminars, discussion groups, forums, supervision groups and opportunities to have a deeper conversation.
We are based in Toronto, Ontario, and informed by the practice standards of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), but all and registered psychotherapy professionals and students are welcome to participate.
Site Rules
Respectful interactions free from harassment
All interaction and participation on this website will be free from harassment and discrimination.
This site and its users broadly take a anti-oppressive, anti-racist, queer-positive intersectional stance. We will share space for differences, learning and missteps in this community, but we will not provide space for antagonism or misinformation.
Moderation protocols are in place and comments, posts and users will be subject to automatic suspension if flagged by several users. Automatic suspensions may be reviewed by a site administrator, who may facilitate reparative actions when appropriate.
Confidentiality
It is vulnerable to ask questions and seek support where we are struggling. All supervision including peer supervision relies on confidentiality to help us feel safer to show up with this vulnerability. Therefore, all conversations shared on this site should be treated as confidential by all users. Do not copy, record, take screenshots or discuss the content of this site or provide access to this site to non-members.
Members have provided information about themselves and their practice in their member profile, and may also share information about their services in the forum. Check their preferences for how they want to be contacted and what information they have given permission to share with potential clients or colleagues. Do not use the contact information provided by members for any other purpose than intended by them.
Limits to confidentiality apply to information shared on this site where mandatory reporting legislation is in place.
Appropriate Use of the site
The purpose of the forums, events, directory and other features of this website are to start generative conversations that enrich our psychotherapy practice, and to develop a referral and support network based in genuine relationships with therapists you have had a chance to get to know.
Content unrelated to, or getting in the way of these uses will be removed when flagged by our moderation process.
No spam
Any posts, comments or content promoting the member’s services will be reasonable (e.g. post once) and not spam other users.
No unrelated content
Posts, comments and content must be related to the practice of psychotherapy and should be relevant to the post or event.
Professional standards
As a peer supervision network, we will refer to the practice standards and regulations of our profession, such as those provided by our professional colleges. All users will endeavour to provide accurate information and guidance based in professional standards, and will not provide guidance or advice where it is outside of their scope of practice or competence.
Limits of Supervision and Responsibility
Documentation of hours and supervision provided by Oona Fraser is only kept where the member also has a supervision agreement with Oona Fraser or supervision group membership in place. A record of peer consultation and learning activities is the sole responsibility of the user. Participation on this site does not constitute supervision by Oona Fraser.
Oona Fraser is not liable for content provided by other users. Users are responsible for their own contributions and all members must share in the responsibility for site moderation and professional standards.
Communication from Oona Fraser via forum discussions, comments or office hours is not part of supervision hours or the supervision record where a supervision agreement is in place.
